Blast Cleaning Services
Soda blasting, as the name implies, uses bicarbonate of soda medium to remove most coatings from almost any surface. The equipment and media are combined for a wide range of applications to remove paint, rust, dirt, carbon, grease and oil from steel, stainless steel, aluminium, galvanised metal, wood, brick, concrete, glass and more.
Soda blasting is a process where a surface is stripped of paint and coatings of almost any kind from most substrates. Although similar to traditional sand blasting, it has significant advantage of cleaning the surface without causing any harm to the substrate or the environment. The process uses controlled compressed air to propel the medium and can be used wet or dry.
Bicarbonate of Soda will not damage window glass, plastic or rubber seals and lights and we constantly blast clean and strip paint back to the delicate gelcoat and woodwork on modern and old yachts and boats.
BCS use Bicarbonate of Soda also known as Baking Soda which is 100% food grade, non toxic, non hazardous, water soluble and a great medium for controlled pressure blast cleaning. Brickwork often has blemishes, stains and grease as well as general air borne pollutants from traffic and residential and commercial contaminants which create a layer of grime and particles that adhere to the face brickwork.
Using Bicarbonate Soda as the main constituent to our controlled pressure jet cleaning system we can remove the layers of grime and restore the brickwork back to its original pristine finish to take years of the building facade and greatly improve its appearance and potential value. Soda Blasting is great for cleaning mould and graffiti on Sandstone and brickwork and is environmentally friendly.
